LA-Compton Street Jam 4/30 by Jesse Puente

A report:

The turnout was not what we expected but it was one of the best contest I've been to in LA in a long time. With the jam battle style format and some live entertainment and Bobby Carter announcing it definitely pushed riders in LA. The fact that it was in Compton,it didn't matter to anyone in the contest. We got to see crazy dirt jumping, Sean Butler, Cory (Midget) Walters and other pros were going off on dirt.

Contest started out with experts battling for first and get a chance to battle with the pros. Experts won good prizes from KHE bikes, Dada Footwear, Sickchild, Diversion Videos, Quaman and more. I'd like to thank them for their support.

The pro contest was off the hook, it was a great atmosphere with a huge crowd. Two of the greatest DJs (DJ Drez and Fat Jack) were spinning with the living legend Mikah 9 from Freestyle Fellowship. The pros were exciting to watch as Pete Brandt was showing his new tricks that no one ever saw and was completely dialed. Chad Johnston was busting some crazy pedal tricks and pulling them. Eugene Collins came with extra style as always. Ed Nausbaum came to represent and did a good job and pulled tricks with even a hurt arm. Max Roth the winner of the experts, deserved to be with the pros. He did so good no one could believe it. Everyone was crazy proud of him.
