ŧ Biography / Interview:

Who are you, where are you from, and what are you doing?
My name is Sven, and Iīm representing my hometown Karlsruhe (KHE) on a small bike. Basically Iīm a student at university, hanging out in front of my PC, like to go out with some homies and ride my bike. Besides, Iīm a fan of traveling and making new friends.

Why BMX? Why Flatland? How long have you been riding?
About 10 years ago I moved with my parents near my current flatland spot where I soon made friends with Albert Retey, Chrissi & Harry, Kirsten and TG. I had a very crap bike but the guys brought me into flatland. As there were no ramps or anything I stayed into riding on the flat ground. I still remember when Albert tought me how to do some Wheelchair Combos. Anyway, flatland still helps me to express my feelings and to free my mind after a stressed day. But donīt get me wrong, Iīm a big fan of street videos, actually I have many friends who ride street and ripping it.

Favourite Tricks? Combos?
I recently dicovered some backwheel tricks like spinning and flowing it.
I like trick combinations without scuffing the wheel just pumping it. Too many stuff you can do on the bike, itīs hard to concentrate on one single style or kind of tricks.

Spots? Where can we meet you? Who do you ride with? Where have you been riding already?
My favourite spot is the green court in Karlsruhe. Itīs the best floor, although there is little possibility to ride when itīs raining. Thatīs the spot where I can be found the most, mainly riding alone with my headphones on, listeing to some beats. I used to ride with my good fellows Phil and Frank but both moved to Stuttgart. When we meet every couple of month itīs fun to ride with them.

What do you like? What’s crap?
I like good flowing bmx sessions and road trips. Of course barbecue in summer. I hate flat tires and riding home when itīs raining.

Best runs? Contests?
Hm, I like the vibe on smaller contests. The German Masters in Coburg, where I got Vice Champ were pretty cool. Anyways, I donīt take contests too seriously. I just like to ride my run and meet friends. Itīs basically a competition against myself to see what tricks I can pull when Iīm under pressure.

Any future plans?
Letīs see what future brings. Hopefully I stay healthy.

Last words? Cheers?
First of all thanks to KHE and TG for the support. My sponsors split clothing, kunstform (seppl), eastpak. Hi to 50/50 vdo and the rude baronz (Miki, Gero, Phil). All my friends (bmx and non bmx), momndadnfamily, fächerstadt.
