Anchor Bar Assembling
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A steerer tube length of 36mm or higher is needed. (PIC 1)
If the steerer tube is too short, the stem may not have sufficient clamping surface against the steerer tube to be used safely.
ASSEMBLY:
- Apply grease on the rounded part of the Affix clamp that gets in contact with the stem.
- Apply grease on the thread of the bolt clamp.
- Always use a washer under the stem (PIC 2). Do not place the stem directly on the bearing cap
- Place the bar stem combo on the steerer tube. A steerer tube length of 36mm or higher is needed. This means that the steerer tube should be higher than the stem. The use of a washer on top of the stem will allow you to tight the compression bolt and ensure a secure assembly (PIC 3).
- Install the compression bolt and apply enough torque to remove all play from the headset while ensuring it still rotates freely. The compression bolt must compress the stem, washers and the bearing. Therefore, it is important that the top cap of the compression bolt does not get in contact with the top of the steerer tube. If the compression bolt gets in contact with the steerer tube, sufficient compression may not be possible and the bearings will remain loose, risking rapid wear and possible damage to the fork, the stem and the frame.
- Align the bar/stem combo with the fork.
- Tight the bolt clamp to secure the stem to the steerer tube. It is essential that the stem is securely tightened to the steerer tube. Do not over tighten (max torque 29N.m)

The KHEbikes Anchor bar/stem combo is warranted for one year from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS and IMPROPER ASSEMBLY will void the warranty.
In addition, this warranty does not cover damage occurring during shipment, storage, neglect or poor maintenance, misuse, accidents or crashes, installation or assembly with incompatible products or modification.
Warranty claim should be made through the original dealer or distributor, when possible. A dated proof of purchase is required.
