Shola Stem

The Shola stem results in a collaborative effort between KHEbikes and SHOLA (Bruce Crisman).

The stem features a classic front load design with the innovative Affix clamping system (Patent Pending). It is made of 6061 Aluminium alloy and has been internally machined to save weight without sacrifying strength.

Warnings :

In order to ensure secure assembly, you need a steerer tube of 32mm or higher.

The fork steerer tube must go all the way through the clamp and the stem in order to have enough support for the clamp to hold the stem to the fork. When the stem is on the fork, the steerer tube must be only a few millimetres below the top of the stem.

It is essential that the stem is securely clamped to the steerer tube. But DO NOT over tighten the clamp bolt (maximum Torque 29N.m).

On the front plate, tighten the 4 bolts evenly in a cross pattern way (upper left, lower right, upper right, lower left) with a similar amount of torque. Don’t crank one allen bolt after the other as hard as you can and wonder why your stem is distorted!
